Poking The Bear With A Stick

George Bush may very well be able to leave behind a legacy far worse than the one he already has. In the midst of the Georgian crisis the United States made a deal to base a missile defense system in Poland. Good timing. That will settle down relations with Russia.

Oh, nevermind. Russia has responded with a threat of using nuclear weapons against Poland. Col-General Anatoliy Nogovitsyn:
The USA is engaged in an anti-missile defense for its own government, and not for Poland. And Poland, in deploying (elements of the system) opens itself to a military strike. That is 100 percent.

Nogovitsyn went on to say of a nuclear strike:
It is written clearly: We will use it in instances against governments that have nuclear weapons; against allies of countries with nuclear weapons, if they somehow enable them.

I had hopes sanity would prevail. I forgot just how terrible the men in the White House are. Poke the bear with a stick, Chimpy. Who cares what happens to Poland, right?

I think I know what Bush and McCain and the other neocons are up to. Rather than risk handing power over to the evil liberals they're just going to start WWIII. It will be a permanent Republican majority, in hell. They love the smell of war during an election cycle. It smells like... victory, except in this one everybody loses. The only winner would be horrific suffering.
